Due to an exposure to a Covid positive individual the Twaddler and toddler room will be closed from 4/15 - 4/22/22. Children should test on or after 4/20. Children may return on 4/25 with no symptoms and a negative test. We apologize for any inconvenience.

3/29/22

We have been alerted to a positive case of covid-19 in the school age classrooms. If your child was in attendance today, March 29, 2022, they will NOT have to quarantine, but they will have to participate in the test-to-stay program for 5 days

. You can pick up tests at pick-up today so you can administer it at home before you come to care, or you can come in and we can do it in the morning. If there is a positive test result, please stay home and make sure to let us know. Positive cases must stay out for 10 days.

All students will be given a mask to wear for the afternoon.

Due to staff illness, the infant and Twaddler classrooms will be closed tomorrow, Thursday March 10, 2022. The Toddler, Preschool and School Age will remain open. If your child is experiences any signs of sickness, please do not send your child into care. We apologize for the inconvenience

PRESCHOOL DEPARTMENT IS CLOSED UNTIL NEXT WEEK.

**To all PRESCHOOL parents & guardians:

We have just been made aware that a child in our program has tested positive for covid. If you have a child enrolled in our preschool program and they attended on Monday, February 28, 2022, they will need to be tested daily, for 5 days, with the test and stay program. This is done in the morning at drop-off. We have the test kit available for you to administer when you come in. Please make sure you leave yourself time to complete this. (about 5 min). 

**If your child is on transportation, you will need to bring them to care in order to receive the tests and to take them home for the rest of the week.

If for any reason you do not want to test your child. They can return with no symptoms next Tuesday 3/8/22

UPDATE 1/4/22

To all parents who received a phone call that their child was in close contact on 12/29/21. 

There is good news! We have received new guidance from the health dept. Due to the overwhelming lack of tests available in our area. Tomorrow, 1/5/22, if your child is 100% symptom free, they may return to care without a negative test. If they have ANY symptoms AT ALL, they should remain out until a negative test is obtained. If you have any questions, please feel free to call us.

IMPORTANT

Please make sure you are sending in your test results to kidzoneinc@aol.com. You CANOT bring it in on Monday, if you do, you will be turned away. You MUST be cleared by the Board of Health BEFORE you can return. Once we have your result, we can upload it and get you cleared to return. With the updated positive test results, the BOH has closed us until November 22, 2021. All students MUST be tested before they can return, and should be quarantined until a negative result is obtained. 

*If your child is of school age, do NOT send them to school until you have a negative test from 11/16 or 11/17/21. Please send results to KidZone- kidzoneinc@aol.com 

If you test positive, please notify us right away by email or fb messenger

Update as of Monday, November 15, 2021

We have gotten some more positive tests reported today. The Board of Health will be reaching out to families regarding this new information and what you need to do. We will keep this page updated with any new information we receive. Please remember to stay quarantined until you are tested and receive a negative result back. If you receive a positive result, please contact us immediately. 

Update as of Saturday, November 13, 2021

Dear Staff and Parents/Guardians,

I am writing to let you know that on, 11/10/21 we were informed that an individual within the KidZone community had tested positive for Covid-19. We were also notified of 2 additional positive tests within our community on 11/11/2021. Though we cannot provide specific information about the individuals who tested positive, KidZone has implemented our protocols for notification, quarantine, and disinfection. As of right now, there was NO SPREAD within the building! 

Please contact us immediately if you have questions or if someone in your home begins to show symptoms.

 

Important reminders to return on on November 18,2021 -

**Pre Screening will resume on November 18 to help combat unintentional spread of Covid within our facilities. Please have this completed BEFORE entering the building. A link will be sent out via our texting service, and it will also be available here, and on the parent portal. If you are not signed up to receive text messages, please do so. Text the word, phase1 to (866) 551-1881 to enroll.

**All students (Infant,Twaddler, Toddler, and both Preschool classrooms) should be in quarantine and tested before returning. Please email the results of the test to kidzoneinc@aol.com. We must be able to see the child's name, date of test and result. All tests must occur on 11/15 or 11/16 for the (Infant, Twaddler, Toddlers, and both Preschool classrooms) Tests can be scheduled by calling 1-855-BMC-LINK.

**If a positive result occurs, please report this to KidZone via email or facebook messenger immediately.

**Students must be symptom free in order to return on 11/18/2021. If your child or anyone in the home, has any symptoms they should remain home and be tested.

Important Reminders to return on November 18, 2021

*If your child had a close contact and was instructed to be tested, please bring that test result in with you or email it. They cannot attend without that test result.

 

*Your child must have ZERO symptoms to return. EX. If your child has a runny nose, they cannot attend. If you send your child in and a teacher observes a symptom, you will be called to come and get them.

 

*Any child with a symptom should remain home, as well as if someone in your household develops symptoms, we ask you to stay home and contact the Pittsfield BOH for further guidance, as well as informing KidZone for tracing purposes.
